Development and Hosting Packages There are many ways you can be included on the God in the City website. Whether you would just like to list your basic details or would like a fully-featured website to advertise your event, business or church, God in the City has all the options to ensure you will be known throughout the city.We provide the facility for you to list your event, business or church for free. If you would like to place further information you are able to upgrade to a card or a page. From there you can increase your web presence with a site. Our company Sozo Production can develop a site for you (they offer a discount to non-profit organisations) or you can choose your own web developer and then link to it from God in the City. The options for listing on God in the City are:
Package Types Event NewsletterOur Event Newsletter provides a comprehensive listing of Christian events in the ACT and surrounding regions. Subscription is free - to subscribe (or unsubscribe) click here. All current events listed on God in the City are included in our Event Newsletter at no charge, remaining listed until the event has passed or has been requested to be removed. Newsletter Event Listings comprise at a minimum a line text providing an overview of the event, date, location and contact phone number. For events which are advertised as a Card, Page or Site, more information on the event is included in the Newsletter. This includes at least one picture relating to the event and a hyperlink to the associated Card, Page or Site. To obtain an event listing in our newsletter, see Getting Listed to place your event on God in the City. A Listing is the simplest way to advertise on God in the City and is FREE. Listings can be for an Event, Church, Organisation or Business, or a Resource. A Listing consists comprises basic textual information such as name, overview and a contact number. All Event Listings qualify for inclusion in our Event Newsletter. See how to get your Listing on God in the City by Getting Listed. Upgrade your listing to hyperlink it to your existing website, or your God in the City Card, Page or Site. To link to an external website requires you to nominate your web address (URL). Linking your Listing to a God in the City Card, Page or Site is automatic and you need do nothing further to have this occur. A Card is our equivalent of an electronic
on-line business card. It allows you to have a basic web presence
and only for a small outlay. A Card is based on a pre-defined set of information,
including a logo or picture. Cards are available for
you to advertise your Event, Church, Business or Organisation, or
Resource, incorporating the following data:
Get your Card on God in the City by Getting Listed. Discounts are available for non-profit Organisations. Pages are available for you to more comprehensively advertise your Event, Church, Business or Organisation, or Resource. A Page is more expansive and flexible than a Card, but something short of a full website. Pages are based on a template which we customise to your requirements (generally to your corporate colours, logo, etc). Pages would generally include all of the information on a Card and more, often including additional pictures. A Page provides you with a fixed web address (URL) and an email address, either of which you can then include on your normal business card and other stationery if you wish. The web address is of the form yourpagename.godinthecity.com.au where "your page name" can be whatever you wish but is usually your church, business, event or organisation name. An example of an email address is yourcontact@yourpagename.godinthecity.com.au, where "your contact" can be whatever you wish but is usually a contact name (eg. 'bill') or a generic term reflecting the service being offered (eg. 'info', 'sales', 'office'). Get your page on God in the City by Getting Listed. Discounts are available for non-profit Organisations. Sites are the most expansive and flexible way for you to most comprehensively advertise your Event, Church, Business or Organisation. Sites are probably best thought of as a collection of Pages but with a single web address. Sites can be based on a template which we then customise for you, or they may be uniquely constructed, depending on your requirements - and budget. Sites will generally include all of the information you would include on a Card (or Page) but with the capacity to include just about anything else, including online catalogues, shopping carts, secure payment facilities, etc. A Site is developed in close partnership with yourself - you are always in control of what is developed and how, with regular reviews of work undertaken. A Site provides you with a fixed web address (URL) and any number of email addresses, which you can then include on your normal business card/s and other stationery if you wish. The web address can be a subdomain of God in the City, giving you a web address like yourcompany.godinthecity.com.au where "yourcompany" can be whatever you wish but is usually your church, business, event or organisation name. If you prefer to have your own separate domain, you can purchase your own domain name and have that associated with your website instead, eg. www.yourcompany.com.au.
